Description

The first group of people consists of two police agents in anti-riot gear and sports shoes and a detained person they are holding. The detainee seems to be cooperating, disoriented and not willing to flee. Another group of three agents approach them, two of them are holding another detained person. One of the approaching agents punch the standing detainee in the face and continue to walk past the group with others, follow by the first group of people.

Description

Police agents in all-black uniforms without helmets approach and detain a participant of the Pensioners’ March who is carrying a large white-red-white flag on a stick. The age of the detainee is not clear from the video. Agents also took the detainee into a minibus together with the flag. A police car with police flashers turned on was blocking the praspiekt Niezalieznasci with an officer standing near the car, he let the minibus through by removing the road con away and placing it back after the minibus moved along.

Description

OMON agents threw something that appears to be a small white-red-white flag into the trashcan and walked away. A person who stood near the entrance to the Kammennaya Gorka metro station and was close to the bin immediately took the flag from the bin and dusted it off. Another officer who followed the one who threw the flag approached the person and with the help from the first officer who returned back to the entrance, they almost immediately apprehended the person and started to drag them somewhere.

Description

The video was filmed from an outdoor surveillance camera at the intersection of Masherov Avenue and Pobediteley Avenue. The video shows a group of protesters pushing back a group of fully-equipped police officers without violence. After retreating to the intersection, the police began to throw stun grenades right into the crowd of protesters, as well as, judging by the amount of smoke remaining at the site of the explosion, smoke grenades.

The author of the pictures (Dzmitriy Dzmitriev, a photographer of Novy Chas) was detained on the 1st of November and was released only on 11 of November 2020. Pictures, made by Dzmitriy the March against terror show crowds of peaceful protesters with flags marching on praspiekt Niezaliežnasci. They are opposed by numerous police officers and security agents in different uniforms. Some of the police officers are plainclothed, although they wear protective gear and batons. Some of the agents armed with firearms: shotguns and even long-barreled weapons that look like a version of AK-74 or other models.

According to the source, a 14 years old minor was detained near Pushkinskaya metro station on August 11, 2020, at 10:10 p.m. He was beaten by people in green uniform at the time of detention, in the prison van (probably by OMON) and in Tsentralnaye RUUS of Minsk. The family was informed about the detention and the need to come for him the following day at 5 am.

Description

Along with the picture, an article of TUT.BY explained what happened to the victim Andrey Y. The victim worked as a jr. research assistant in one of the divisions of the Academy of Sciences. On November 1, 2020, he was on the way home on the Logoisk tract. He was quite far from the place of the action when allegedly riot policemen grabbed him and pushed him into a minivan. They searched the victim’s backpack, where they found a laser pointer and binoculars, other stationery from work, which he carried to observe birds. Although the victim explained that the equipment was used for professional purposes, this finding was later used for a slander campaign on the state television and pro-government Telegram channels.

This video filmed detentions of many civilians in the residential area, regardless of age or gender. The victims were taken away against their will by officers, most of whom seemed to be paramilitary troops: in khaki uniform, black gears, helmets and carrying batons, but their uniform varied and did not have any insignia.
