The victim and his friend were sitting in a car when they got arrested by the police for having lief-lets and other political campaign material for Tichanovskaya. The victim was incarcerated for 10 days, his car, campaign material, and belongings were confiscated and would not have been returned at the time of this interview. While under arrest, he was relocated to different pre-trial detention centers where he was kept in seriously inhumane, pervasive conditions such as overcrowded cells, restricted access to food, clothing, shelter, medical care. The victim was convicted of failing to obey a police order. His communication with a legal representative was prevented.
