Maria Tikhanova is a 4th-year student at the Directing Department of the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow and a citizen of Belarus. She was walking behind Nina Baginskaya, who was giving an interview to a media organization. Maria was making a documentary about Baginskaya. A police officer came behind Tikhanova, grabbed her by the neck and head and dragged her off.

The video with Maria's interview which feels and looks more like interrogation was published on Youtube by "Sovetskaya Belarus" (Soviet Belarus) outlet. Maria was standing in front of the wall and was visibly scared.
