Identity of the perpetrator(s): Nikolay Karpenkov, the commander of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption
The cuts of the events during the protest on 6 September 2020.
1st cut: Spetnaz agents conducted detentions of peaceful male protesters who stood close to the armed wall next to Stella monument. They grabbed the victims and forced them in an unknown direction.
2nd cut: plainclothes police officers combed an unknown residential area. One of them hit a man lying on the ground with a truncheon.
3rd cut: non-violent. Enforcement officers removed pictures placed by protesters from the armour wall.
4th cut: OMON officers jumped off the van and started detentions near 4 Pl. Svobody. The street is empty. An offscreen voice invited a few people who were present near the building to enter for shelter. In a moment, one of the OMON officers who just arrived was walking a man towards the van.
5th cut: Nikolay Karpenkov and plainclothes police officers were crashing the front door of the O'Petit cafeteria. Its worker described the event. People entered the cafe in search of shelter from arbitrary detentions. Mr Karpenkov and other officers broke in and started random detentions of males who were in.
6th cut: a detainee getting out of a prison vehicle walked towards an ambulance. OMON officers and medical workers escorted him to the car. The victim had a limp. He was leaning forward while walking as though he was in pain caused by other injuries.
