Identity of the perpetrator(s): Special Purpose Police Unit OMON, police investigators, detention center workers

The victim was detained upon his arrival from Barysaw / Borisov. He was severely beaten and forced onto a prison transportation vehicle. His belongings were confiscated. At a detention center, the victim was once again repeatedly severely beaten, forced to stay in uncomfortable positions and remain on his knees for several hours. The victim witnessed torture of other arrestees.

He was humiliated. He was placed in a open-roofed cell with about seventy other people. He spent about 24 hours in this cell with not enough room to even sit. Access to water, food, sanitary facilities and medical aid was restricted. He was subsequently transferred to another cell.

The victim was forced to sign unknown documents and severely beaten at the time of release. His belongings, including documents, were not returned.
