Identity of the victim(s): Mikalai Bondar

Identity of the perpetrator(s): Special Purpose Police Unit OMON; staff at the precinct, Tsentralnaye RUUS of Minsk

Several OMON officers attacked Mikalai's car because they saw a white ribbon around his wrist - that supporters of Svetlana Tikhanovslaya wore. OMON pierced car wheels, destroyed the windshield and other windows of the car, forced the victim out, beat him up and humiliated him. They filmed the torture on a personal cell phone. The victim was beaten and humiliated while on a transportation vehicle on the way to the detention centre. He was brought to Akrestsina where he was repeatedly beaten by officers and staff members, forced into uncomfortable postures. In the detention centre, as a result of receiving injuries, he started bleeding out and he eventually lost consciousness. He woke up in the hospital.
