Ihar Zacharanka, an engineer, was detained in Maladzyechna on Prytyckaha Str. on 9 August 2020 while he was riding his bicycle. At nightfall, more and more people gathered on the square and more police and vans appeared. Street lighting was off. Then the police started chasing and beating people. Ihar saw unconscious people lying.

In the prison van, detained people were lying on top of each other. OMON policemen were walking on them and beating them. When they arrived to Maladzyechna RUUS, Ihar was forced to lie on the ground and intentionally was hit with his head against the asphalt. He had to stay in a forced posture and was threatened. Detainees were not allowed to go to the toilet. In Puchavichy, where Ihar was then transported, the judge took the testimonies of policemen as absolutely true and did not listen to objections of the accused.
