Identity of the victim(s): Viera, a resident of Lyabyazhy

Identity of the perpetrator(s): undefied plainclothes police officers; policemen from Tsantalnaye RUUS of Minsk; personnel of a detention centre

On 10 March 2021, Viera, a resident of Lyabyazhy, went to buy food for her cat. Near Vitalur supermarket, she was arrested  by people in civil clothes who did not present themselves. Vera and other detainees were transported to Tsantalnaye RUUS of Minsk where they were accused of having shouted  "Long Live Belarus" and having flags, which was not true. Though she has a small daughter (3.5 y.o.) and therefore cannot be detained for more than three hours, she spent the night in the detention centre. 

There were seven people in a four-bed cell. It was cold in the cell. She was sentenced to pay a huge fine, 5200 Belarusian rubles for the alleged participation in an unauthorized mass event and disobedience. It seems that this  was an intimidation action against residents of Lyabyazhy.
