Place/Location: small shop near main town's square

Identity of the victim(s): audio testimony #18

Identity of the perpetrator(s): unknown, no insignia.

SWAT officers arrived at the town's main square where they attacked the victim who had hidden inside a small shop with his acquaintances. When the shop's doors were opened, SWAT officers brutally beat the individuals inside. Since the victim was standing near the entrance, he was the first one to be attacked by approximately 6 members of the SWAT. He was beaten with truncheons and hit with their boots.

The victim was taken outside of the shop and was pepper-sprayed in the face. He was brought into a van where he was beaten continuously. He was brought into Zaslavl RUVD and made to sign two protocols about participating in unsanctioned mass gathering and resisting arrest. The victim asked for medical help which he was initially denied before being provided with it. He was transported to a hospital in a police van accompanied by SWAT members. SWAT members also tried to force him to deny hospitalization prescribed by a doctor. However, thanks to the medical staff's help, the victim was hospitalized.
